  • Conversation Data: Messages exchanged between website visitors and your chatbots, including session identifiers and page URLs.
  • Usage Data: Message counts, bot creation activity, and feature usage for billing and analytics purposes.
  • Payment Information: Billing data is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Process your chatbot training data to generate AI responses
  • Track usage for billing and plan enforcement
  • Provide analytics about your chatbot performance
  • Send important service notifications
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third-party services necessary to operate the Service:

  • OpenAI: Chatbot conversation content is sent to OpenAI for AI response generation.
  • Clerk: Authentication and user management.
  • Stripe: Payment processing.
  • Vercel: Hosting and infrastructure.

4. Data Retention

Conversation data is retained for up to 90 days for analytics purposes, after which it is automatically deleted. Your account data and chatbot configurations are retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.

5. Chatbot Visitor Data

When visitors interact with chatbots created through BotEmbed.ai, we collect conversation messages, anonymous session identifiers, and the page URL. We do not collect visitor IP addresses or personal information unless voluntarily provided in the conversation. Bot owners are responsible for informing their website visitors about the use of AI chatbots and data collection on their websites.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), parameterized database queries, authentication via Clerk, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and download your data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your chatbot configurations and knowledge base
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Our embedded chatbot widget uses a session identifier stored in the browser to maintain conversation context. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
